Free screen sharing, without the catch

Create a room, send a link, share your screen. Free means free: no account, no install, no watermark, no clock running on a direct connection.

What free actually covers

Everything you need to show your screen to people you trust: hosting a room, joining one, screen video, and voice. Nobody creates an account, on either side. There is no trial that expires and no feature wall between you and the core product. If your browsers can connect directly — most can — the session is free for as long as you keep it open.

Why we can afford to give this away

The economics are worth spelling out, because "free" usually hides something. When you share your screen on Linkside, the video travels directly from your browser to your viewer's browser over an encrypted WebRTC connection. Our server's whole job is to introduce the two browsers and then get out of the way. Making an introduction costs us close to nothing, so we don't charge for it.

The one thing that costs real money

Some networks — strict office firewalls, double NAT — block direct connections. When that happens, Linkside falls back to an encrypted relay, and relay bandwidth is something we pay for by the gigabyte. So that part is metered honestly: every free room gets a 5-minute relay trial, and a licence unlocks unlimited relay use. Most sessions connect directly and never touch the relay at all.

What we don't do to fund it

The usual ways a free product pays for itself are absent here. We don't show ads. We don't sell or share data — there's no meaningful data to sell, since sessions aren't recorded and rooms are deleted when they end. We don't collect your email, because there's no account to attach it to. The only thing we charge for is the one thing that costs us real money.

Start in three steps

  1. Create a room — one click, live in seconds.
  2. Send the link however you want.
  3. Pick a window. They see it instantly.

That's the product. Create a room and try it — there's no step where we ask who you are.

Live in seconds. Nothing to install, nobody to sign up.
