Terms of Service

Effective date: March 27, 2026

What Linkside is

Linkside is a browser-based screen-sharing application operated by Sandeep Ghael at linkside.io. It uses WebRTC to create peer-to-peer connections between participants. There are no accounts, no downloads, and no recordings. Rooms are ephemeral—created on demand and destroyed when the last participant leaves.

Free and paid tiers

The free tier supports rooms with up to 2 participants using direct peer-to-peer connections. If a direct connection cannot be established, free rooms receive a one-time 5-minute relay trial. A paid license key, purchased through Lemon Squeezy, unlocks unlimited relay, room passwords, and higher room capacity (up to 4 participants).

How connections work

Linkside runs a signaling server that coordinates WebRTC connections between browsers. The signaling server exchanges connection metadata only—it never carries audio, video, or screen content. Media flows directly between participants (peer-to-peer) whenever possible. When a direct connection cannot be established, media may be routed through a TURN relay server. Free rooms receive a limited relay trial; paid license holders receive unlimited relay access.

Your content and conduct

You are solely responsible for everything you share through Linkside. We do not monitor, record, or store your screen-sharing streams. You agree not to use Linkside to share illegal content, harass others, or engage in any activity that violates applicable law.

Availability and reliability

Linkside is an independent product. We do not offer a service-level agreement or uptime guarantee. The service, including TURN relay, is provided as-is. We may experience downtime for maintenance, updates, or unforeseen issues.

Abuse and rate limiting

We reserve the right to rate-limit, suspend, or block access to Linkside in response to abusive usage, including but not limited to automated room creation, excessive bandwidth consumption, or any activity that degrades the service for others.

Payments and refunds

License keys are sold through Lemon Squeezy. Payment processing, billing, and refund policies are governed by Lemon Squeezy’s terms. If you have a billing issue, contact us and we will do our best to resolve it.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Linkside and its operator are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service. Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid for your license key, if any.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date. Continued use of Linkside after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario, Canada. Any disputes will be resolved in the courts of Ontario.
